It may be a bit sensitive for heavy stop and go traffic but it's much better to be safe than sorry. I gave 4 stars for performance because it is the 2.4L Hybrid engine that lacks real power unless you have selected "sport" mode. If you are in sport mode, the car has excellent acceleration. I believe the Avalon exterior was updated in either 2017 or 2018 and I love the update. While mine is very pretty, the newer ones get the 5 stars. The ventilated seats are also a big step up from my Camry. This car has it all and I look forward to driving it for the next 10 years.
